Maintenance of Caleri loafers and boat shoes

To maintain the beauty and durability of your own Caleri loafers and boat shoes, it is essential to care for them with proper care and diligence. The quality materials used in our designs require simple but diligent maintenance to retain their beauty and functionality over time.

Characterised by the superior quality of the leathers from Le Marche and the experience of the Made in Veneto artisans, both of our models require in particular a suede brush for cleaning. It is essential to use a rubber or soft brush specifically for suede, to be gently passed over the surface of the shoes, following the natural direction of the hair. This will help to revive the smoothness of the leather without damaging it.

Do note that these models are not waterproof. Therefore, avoid exposing your Caleri loafers and boat shoes to prolonged contact with water, as this may compromise their integrity, causing discolouration and a hardening of the leather.

Be it with rubber or brass bristles, soft-haired brushes are ideal for gently removing dust and dirt from the surface whilst respecting the natural texture of suede. Be sure to brush in the direction of the fibre to avoid surface damage.
